Cafe Assistant

Valleyfield Community Club is looking for volunteers for their cafes which run every Tuesday to Friday, providing food to people in the community in High Valleyfield.
Over winter, this is a warm welcome café, and over school holidays, café inc is offered as well as a community café.
There are a range of tasks that volunteers can get involved with, including making teas, coffees and drinks; serving food and drinks to customers; setting up; clearing away; and speaking to customers. Volunteers can also get involved with food preparation.
Their small team of volunteers keeps the cafe running every week. If you would like to make a difference in your local community, improve access to food, and give people a social space to spend time together, this could be the right opportunity for you.

Experience required

Volunteers need to be comfortable speaking to members of the public who attend the cafe.

The cafe is located in Valleyfield Community Club, Kinloss Court, High Valleyfield, KY12 8RT.

Travel expenses are available for volunteers.

Support
Training details

An induction to the community club and the cafe will be provided. Further training can be accessed for volunteers. The manager will provide ongoing support for volunteers.

Taster

Taster sessions can be arranged.
