No matter how good our services are, we can't properly support our users/community well if we don't have good organisers in the team. If this sounds like you... we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per week.
Since 1971, Bield Housing & Care have been developing housing and services to enable Scotland's older people to live the life they want.
Our brand promise is 'Free to Be': this sums up our firm belief that older people should have the freedom to make their own choices and live as independently as possible.
This is a promise which, thanks to the dedication, experience and passion of our staff and volunteers, we are uniquely placed to bring to life.
Many of the tenant's feel they have become socially isolated and would welcome some volunteer participation to help get the social activities up and running again. They have previously enjoyed Bingo on a Thursday afternoon, also afternoon and evening entertainment.
Volunteers may be asked to host activities, assist tenant's down to the dining room where all activities would take place as we have tenant's who use walking aids. Volunteers would also help with teas/coffees ect before/during the activities.
So whether you are looking to use your time well, update your skills or have the chance to do something a bit new, we can offer you a warm welcome and all of the support and help you could need.
We are seeing a rise in demand for our services everyday. Having your help will allow us to be there for the people who need us. Any time you can give will make a real difference.

Minimum age: 18
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
