Maintenance and Outdoor Volunteer

Help us create a safe, welcoming and well looked after space for everyone who walks through our doors.
As a Maintenance and Outdoor Volunteer, you’ll play an important role in keeping the Foundation running smoothly behind the scenes. From small repairs to outdoor upkeep, your time and skills will help create an environment where people feel comfortable, safe, and supported.
This is a hands-on and flexible role, perfect for someone who enjoys practical tasks, being active, and taking pride in seeing a job well done. Some days might involve small DIY jobs, other days helping maintain outdoor spaces, every contribution makes a real difference.
 
What you’ll be involved in:
Supporting general maintenance and DIY tasks around the building
Helping maintain outdoor spaces and gardens
Carrying out small repairs and practical improvements
Supporting the upkeep of Moira’s Bench in Dunbeth Park
Working alongside staff and volunteers to keep the space welcoming and safe
What we’re looking for:
Practical, hands-on and enjoys fixing things
Takes pride in a job well done
Reliable and organised
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Willing to work outdoors when needed
A positive attitude and willingness to get involved
