Organisation: Wise Mentoring CIC
Role: Volunteer Translators and Proofreaders
Location: Remote
About Us: WISE Mentoring is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that supports children living in the North East of Glasgow. We focus on the Wellbeing, Inspiration, Support and Empowerment of young people through character education and mentoring. We offer weekly group mentoring and 1:1 mentoring sessions for children aged 9-11 across primary schools at the end of the school day. We also run drop-in sessions for previous attendees, to further the impact of the mentoring they have received, and family days, which welcome both children enrolled in the mentoring projects and any other families and community members who wish to join.
About the role: WISE Mentoring is working to make our WISEbooks available for public download by the end of 2026.
We would love to make our work as accessible to as many children and people as possible.
Since 2024 we have worked with some amazing volunteer translators who have interpreted our workbooks into French, Indonesian, Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, Japanese, Vietnamese, Ukrainian and Malaysian.
We would love to hear from anyone who would be interested in translation for the following:
Arabic, Cantonese, Czech, Slovakian, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Azerbaijani, Hausa, Tamil, Urdu, Farsi, Dutch, German, and Gaelic.
If you speak/write in any other language not listed we would also love to hear from you!
We are also looking for proofreaders, especially for French, Japanese, Cantonese, Polish,  Malaysian, Arabic, Hindi, Greek and Bengali.
If you are interested, please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone. If you don’t hear back within 5 working days, please contact the organisation using the provided details. Check your junk/spam folder for responses.
