Helping the course presenter in teaching individuals basic cooking skills, preparation and cleaning of the venue. Would be working with vulnerable adults, children and young people.
Experience required
No experience required, full training provided. PVG essential- provided.
Interest in Food Hygiene, Nutrition or cooking appreciated. REHIS certification opportunity for the right candidate.
Willingness to help others and good natured attitude towards people essential.
Flexible times, mostly during school hours , term time, with some occasional evening/weekend events.
Travel details
Car access very beneficial.
Travel expenses
Mileage paid at £0.45 per mile. Expenses reimbursed (upon provision of the receipt).
Support
Training details
Ongoing training with possible REHIS certification in Elementary Cooking Skills, Food Hygiene, Allergy Awareness and Food and Health.
Taster
Induction meeting before the first practical session with training provided throughout
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
PVG required- provided.
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
