Bully Wee Run Club - Walk/Jog/Run Leader

Are you passionate about running and enjoy encouraging others? Clyde FC Community Foundation is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic volunteer to help support a new free social running club in the East End of Glasgow.
This is a great opportunity to help bring people together through physical activity, confidence-building and community connection. The group will be welcoming and inclusive, supporting people of different ages, abilities and fitness levels — from complete beginners to more experienced runners.
As a volunteer, you could help by:
supporting and encouraging participants during group walks, jogs and runs
helping create a welcoming, positive and inclusive atmosphere
motivating people to build confidence and improve their wellbeing
helping sessions run safely and smoothly alongside Foundation staff
encouraging people to stay active and connected within their local community
We’re looking for someone who:
enjoys running or being active
is friendly, approachable and encouraging
is supportive of people with different abilities and confidence levels
enjoys meeting new people and being part of community activity
can commit to helping at regular sessions where possible
It would also be helpful, although not essential, if you have:
experience supporting groups, community activities or sports sessions
a first aid qualification or awareness of basic wellbeing and safety considerations
What you’ll get from volunteering:
the chance to support people in your local community
experience helping lead community physical activity sessions
opportunities to build confidence and develop new skills
support and guidance from Clyde FC Community Foundation staff
being part of a supportive and passionate team
the satisfaction of helping others become more active and connected
Time commitment:
Flexible, although ideally available to support at least one regular session each week.
Location:
East End of Glasgow
If you enjoy running and would like to help create a positive and welcoming community activity, we’d love to hear from you.
