Pride House 2026 - Specialists

Pride House Glasgow returns in 2026 as the official LGBTIQ+ hub of the Commonwealth Games — a vibrant, visible and welcoming space at the heart of the city. Operating between 22nd July and 3rd August 2026, Pride House will provide a safe and inclusive environment where LGBTIQ+ people, athletes, visitors and allies can come together to celebrate sport, culture and community during the Games.
At its core, Pride House is a free, welcoming drop-in venue where people can:
Watch and engage with the Games together
Feel safe, seen and celebrated
Connect with community, culture and sport
Alongside our wider volunteer team, we are also recruiting a number of specialist volunteers to help strengthen key areas of the Pride House programme. These opportunities are ideal for individuals with relevant experience, knowledge or creative skills who would like to contribute to a major international event and inclusive community space.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience gained professionally, academically or through volunteering/community involvement. Portfolios or examples of previous work may be helpful but are not essential.
Specialist volunteer areas include:
Photography Volunteers
Supporting the capture of Pride House events, activities and atmosphere through photography. This may include photographing programmed events, candid visitor interactions and volunteer activities. We are especially interested in individuals with an interest or experience in event photography.
Social Media Volunteers
Creating engaging social media content to help promote Pride House activities and increase visibility throughout the Games period. This may include drafting posts, capturing live content and engaging with partner organisations and supporters across social media platforms.
Communications Volunteers
Supporting proactive and reactive communications linked to Pride House Glasgow 2026. This role may include drafting media content, supporting press engagement and helping communicate Pride House activity to wider audiences. An understanding of sport, equality and LGBTIQ+ issues would be beneficial.
Welfare Support Team Volunteers
Supporting engagement with visiting delegations, athletes and support teams by providing information about Pride House and helping create a welcoming and inclusive environment. This role would particularly suit individuals with stakeholder engagement, visitor support or community-facing experience.
If you have another specialist skill or area of expertise you believe could support Pride House Glasgow 2026, we would also love to hear from you.
