Foodbank helper at the Croft - Support and advice Centre at HMP Barlinnie

We are looking for foodbank helpers to support the work of The Croft at HMP Barlinnie and help make a positive difference to families and individuals experiencing food insecurity in our community.
As a foodbank helper, you will assist with:
• Preparing food bags for visitors
• Help to receive and organise the food bank delivery
We are currently looking for support on Tuesday mornings from 10am–12pm.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in meaningful community work, meet new people, and support a charity making a real impact. Volunteers will have the opportunity to gain accredited training, learn new skills in organisation, teamwork, and customer service, and gain experience in a community-focused, supportive environment. They will make a real difference for families during what can be a challenging time, meet new people and be part of a welcoming team, receive full induction and ongoing support, and be provided with a Croft volunteer T-shirt. If you are interested in becoming a foodbank helper or would like to find out more, we would love to hear from you.
How to Apply
If you are interested, please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when registered and logged in). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out, then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on [email protected]
