Summer Holiday Programme Volunteer

To support the delivery of fun, engaging, and inclusive activities as part of our Summer Holiday Programme for children in P1–P7. Volunteers help create a safe, welcoming environment where children can stay active, build friendships, and enjoy their time during the school holidays.
What you can get involved in:
• Welcoming children to sessions and helping them feel comfortable and included
• Supporting a variety of activities such as sports, arts & crafts, outdoor games, and group challenges
• Assisting with setting up and tidying away materials and equipment
• Encouraging participation, teamwork, and positive behaviour
• Helping with breakfast, lunch, snacks and refreshments
• Supporting staff with any additional tasks to ensure sessions run smoothly

Experience required

Skills and Qualities Needed:
Volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds, and we welcome anyone with a positive attitude. We are looking for:
• A friendly and approachable manner
• Patience and enthusiasm
• Reliability and punctuality
• Willingness to work as part of a team
• Respect for children’s individuality and needs
• No experience required — just a desire to get involved and make a difference!

Travel expenses

Volunteer public travel expenses are reimbursable. If you volunteer for 4 or more consecutive hours food costs, up to a maximum of £7, are also reimbursable.
