Klinefelter Syndrome Support Scotland is recruiting a volunteer Treasurer Trustee to help oversee and strengthen the financial sustainability of a developing Scottish charity supporting individuals and families affected by Klinefelter Syndrome (XXY).
About Us
Klinefelter Syndrome Support Scotland is a Scotland-based charitable organisation dedicated to improving awareness, understanding, well-being, inclusion, and long-term outcomes for individuals affected by Klinefelter syndrome (XXY) and related variations, together with their families, partners, carers, friends, educators, employers, healthcare professionals, and wider support networks.
The organisation was created in response to the significant lack of awareness, accessible information, emotional support, community connection, and long-term guidance available to individuals and families affected by Klinefelter syndrome across Scotland and beyond.
Our organisation exists to help bridge the gap in awareness, support services for emotional well-being, fertility support, education and employment, healthcare navigation, and community connection currently experienced by many individuals and families affected by Klinefelter syndrome.
The Treasurer Trustee will play a key role in helping ensure strong financial governance and supporting the long-term growth and sustainability of the organisation.
Responsibilities may include:
• Supporting financial oversight and governance
• Assisting with budgets and financial planning
• Helping monitor income and expenditure
• Supporting funding applications and grant opportunities
• Helping identify fundraising opportunities
• Assisting with financial reporting requirements
• Supporting long-term financial sustainability planning
• Contributing to strategic organisational decisions
• Participating in trustee meetings
• Supporting charity growth and development
We welcome individuals with backgrounds in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, business finance, charity finance, grant funding, or financial governance.
Trustees should be passionate about helping build a charity focused on awareness, fertility support, health and wellbeing support, education support, employment support, community support, and long-term opportunities for individuals and families affected by long-term conditions such as Klinefelter Syndrome.
