Klinefelter Syndrome Support Scotland is recruiting a volunteer Secretary Trustee to help support governance, organisation and administration within a developing Scottish charity.
About Us
Klinefelter Syndrome Support Scotland is a Scotland-based charitable organisation dedicated to improving awareness, understanding, well-being, inclusion, and long-term outcomes for individuals affected by Klinefelter syndrome (XXY) and related variations, together with their families, partners, carers, friends, educators, employers, healthcare professionals, and wider support networks.
The organisation was created in response to the significant lack of awareness, accessible information, emotional support, community connection, and long-term guidance available to individuals and families affected by Klinefelter syndrome across Scotland and beyond.
Our organisation exists to help bridge the gap in awareness, support services for emotional well-being, fertility support, education and employment, healthcare navigation, and community connection currently experienced by many individuals and families affected by Klinefelter syndrome.
The Secretary Trustee will help ensure the organisation operates effectively and maintains strong governance practices.
Responsibilities may include:
• Supporting trustee meeting organisation and scheduling
• Taking or overseeing meeting minutes
• Supporting governance and compliance activities
• Assisting with policies and documentation
• Supporting trustee communications
• Helping maintain organisational records
• Assisting with administration tasks
• Supporting strategic planning activities
• Helping ensure governance requirements are maintained
• Contributing to funding applications and organisational development work
• Participating in trustee decision-making
We welcome individuals with backgrounds in administration, governance, compliance, project coordination, business support, operations, policy development, or organisational management.
Trustees should be passionate about helping grow a charity focused on awareness, fertility support, health and well-being support, education support, employment support, community support, and long-term opportunities for individuals and families affected by long-term conditions such as Klinefelter Syndrome.
