Klinefelter Syndrome Support Scotland is recruiting a volunteer Co-Chair Trustee to work alongside the Founder and Trustee team to help guide, lead, and grow a developing Scottish charity supporting individuals and families affected by Klinefelter syndrome.
About Us
Klinefelter Syndrome Support Scotland is a Scotland-based charitable organisation dedicated to improving awareness, understanding, well-being, inclusion, and long-term outcomes for individuals affected by Klinefelter syndrome (XXY) and related variations, together with their families, partners, carers, friends, educators, employers, healthcare professionals, and wider support networks.
The organisation was created in response to the significant lack of awareness, accessible information, emotional support, community connection, and long-term guidance available to individuals and families affected by Klinefelter syndrome across Scotland and beyond.
Our organisation exists to help bridge the gap in awareness, support services for emotional well-being, fertility support, education and employment, healthcare navigation, and community connection currently experienced by many individuals and families affected by Klinefelter syndrome.
This role will help provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational support while helping shape the future growth and long-term development of the organisation.
Responsibilities may include:
• Helping lead strategic planning and organisational growth
• Supporting trustee leadership and governance
• Participating in major organisational decisions
• Helping identify funding opportunities and funding applications
• Supporting fundraising activities and partnership building
• Helping oversee charity operations and development activities
• Supporting awareness campaigns and community engagement work
• Assisting with ad hoc administration activities
• Helping build long-term sustainability plans
• Working collaboratively with trustees to strengthen the organisation's future
