Board Member for The Coach House

We are currently seeking new Trustees to join the Board of The Coach House Trust, a Glasgow-based charity supporting people experiencing health challenges, social isolation, and exclusion. Based in a former Coaching House in the West End we support people from across Glasgow in our Studios and Market Garden.
Meetings take place in-person at the Coach House, however we will sometimes host a teams call to accomodate for busy lives.
At a time when demand for compassionate, community-led support continues to grow and the landscape across Glasgows Charity sector needs positive reponses. We are looking to strengthen our Board with individuals who can bring both lived experience to our growth and professional insight to our governance and strategic direction.
This is an opportunity to:
· Influence the strategic direction of a well-established Glasgow charity
· Support the development of a community-based service.
· Work collaboratively with a committed team of Trustees and Staff
· Make a meaningful contribution to reducing isolation and improving wellbeing in Glasgow.
We will provide support and induction for all new Trustees and would welcome those who have never sat on an advisory group or board before.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people who:
· Have personal stories of social exclusion and are motivated to shape services that help others.
· Bring professional expertise in areas such as health, social work, community development, finance, legal practice or governance
· Are committed to inclusion in service delivery.
· Can contribute to thoughtful, constructive decision-making at Board level.
We strongly believe that effective leadership comes from informed decisions that reflect the realities of the people we support. If you are interested in applying or would like a conversation about the role, please contact us at T - 0141 334 6888, e mail [email protected]
If you are interested please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on [email protected].
