The Ayrshire Litter Volunteer Network (ALVN), established in 2014 (website closed 2016), is a Community based partnership of like-minded individuals who have great concern for the quality of their local environment; aiming to promote greater community responsibility towards the disposal of their rubbish.
ALVN is looking for a volunteer editor, with significant Facebook experience, to take ALVN forward by sharing individuals & groups posts in an interesting, eye-catching and encouraging manner, to promote and encourage the efforts of volunteers, so encouraging others to consider joining in with existing Groups or as individuals All this without spending money. Volunteer litter-pickers are starting to come forward as they see the occupation is no longer eccentric.
The person applying must have a concern for the appearance of Ayrshire, be of a responsible age and wishes to effect a change in attitudes. There are 864 followers today. The objective is to increase these significantly.
Expanding into other media, will be at the discretion of the volunteer, to reach a wider audience - the Irresponsible?
They must be resident in Ayrshire and will liaise with all three Ayrshire Councils where necessary, contacts will be provided.
