Eddie Inglis

Hillfoots Rugby Club

Eddie has been involved in rugby throughout his entire adulthood. He has been a member of Hillfoots RFC for over 25 years since moving to Tillicoultry and has always been at the heart of the Club, whether playing, coaching or as a volunteer committee member. He played throughout his time and more recently has driven the development of the veteran's rugby team called the Cast Tups. Despite being well into his 70s, he has only recently hung up his playing boots on pain of death from his long-suffering wife and doctor!

In his coaching career, he has trained a number Scottish internationals when they played within the Club’s youth section and the majority of our senior team who have come through the Club.

He has also served on the Committee either as Secretary or as President for over 20 years and his opinion is valued both regionally and nationally by the Scottish Rugby Union. Finally, he is also recognised as a driving force in the wider Tillicoultry Community and helped set up the really successful twining with our French friends in Crevcoeur Le Grand as well as running the annual Tilly in the Park music festival, which raises well over £2000 for local charities.
