About this event
The Catalan Film Festival of Scotland returns for a 10th edition!
Brought to you by CinemaAttic, a well-established pop-up screenings festival that specialises in the best independent Ibero-American cinema.
This 2025 we bring a new collection of short films and features that will showcase the best Catalan talent. Join us and help us deliver a successful festival. We have a wide thematic programme and events and joining the team promises to be a great and insightful experience.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are based in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Inverness or surrounding areas. If you have a passion for Catalan culture or films in general we want you in!
We can reimburse your travel expenses as long as those are within Scotland, please reach out if you have any questions.
As a volunteer you will have access to attend all screenings, help us with the events and the attending talent and have a great experience while learning new skills and meeting new people.
Online and in person inductions will be hosted closer to the event.
Volunteering details
Some of the roles you may be able to perform are:
Guest list: In some venues we will have a festival desk where you will have a list
with names of people to give film tickets to. We will provide you with the list and
with the film tickets.
General information / directions: Audiences will come to you to ask where is the
film being screened, timings or to know more about the programme.
Roving Mic: Passing the mics during the Q&A for audiences to make questions.
Light food and drinks prep: In some events we will have some snacks and drinks
that we will be selling and we will need you to give us a hand with that.
Feedback Forms: This is one of the key parts of the event, we need people to
give us feedback, this is essential for the festival. You will be provided with QR
codes and/or paper forms and pens.
Marketing: Assist our marketing team with light social media/marketing tasks (could be done remotely) and during the events help us to capture the magic of it. Also by helping us to distribute flyers amongst your network
Room set-up: Some of our venues are not cinemas, so we will need your support to convert them into one!
Any contribution big or small can make a huge difference. There are many benefits to yourself and others when you volunteer!
