Woven Together Dundee

The Woven Together Dundee project is a community-based research project explores the history and showcases the contributions of African, Caribbean and Asian Minority Ethnic people in Dundee. This project attempts to answer the following questions:• How much do we know of the history of ethnic diversity and multiculturalism in Dundee and the surrounding area? • To what extent did Dundee’s textile industry profit from slavery? • Who were our leading anti-slavery campaigners? • How were notable Black visitors to the city received? • How has Dundee benefited from the culture and talents of migrants from different ethnic backgrounds coming to the city?
