Spikin Autism and More

Spikin Autism and More ( SAAM) is a Parent Peer Support Group, meeting weekly at The Alford Community Campus during Term time, and Monthly at Homestart Garioch Inverurie. The Group is for those affected with autism &/or additional support needs, or any other disability to share similar stories & experiences in a relaxed & friendly atmosphere. This helps to empower and build self esteem. The feeling of knowing you're not alone, when facing some of life's toughest challenges can be so reassuring and help to make you feel less isolated. The Group is open, friendly & welcoming, inclusive to everyone regardless of where they come from. They also want & aim to build a better understanding & awareness around multiple support needs through joint partnership working. They organise activities, events & day trips during school holidays, & have also taken part in information days, deliver presentations & organise training workshops.
