FOSS is an organisation of local people extending a hand of welcome and solidarity to newcomers to the Falkirk District. We began in 2016 as a community group welcoming Syrian families seeking refuge here. Since then, our links have grown to include people navigating the asylum system, Ukrainian arrivals, as well as those simply moving to the area to live and work. Through befriending, partnership working, and volunteer coordination, we empower newcomers to stand on their own two feet and quickly find the knowledge, networks, and services they need to live full, self-determined lives. FOSS trains up and supports volunteers to link up, lend a hand and point people in the right direction.
