Friends of Kings Park is a local community organisation set up to to help improve and develop public facilities and resources in Stirling's main city public park for the benefit of the whole community. As volunteers,we work in partnership with Stirling Council, various Community Councils, local schools, other cpmmunity groups etc. Over the last 7 years we have raised funds and secured grants to enable a number of projects to be undertaken within Kings Park. Some of these projects have related to conserving various heritage assets and providing information leaflets and a heritage panel relating to the history of this ancient Royal Park and the important link between the Park and Stirling Castle and Scottish monarchs. We have also been engaged in a community gardening and biodiversity project over the last few years in partnership with Stirling User's Network with input from local schools.
