Cheviot Locality Youth Work Services is constituted to advance education by the promotion and provision of a strong sustainable youth work service in the Cheviot area of the Scottish Borders to help young people develop skills and thrive in a safe, comfortable and accessible environment.In carrying out such a remit it runs two projects – Kelso Youth Project and Jedburgh Youth Project. These projects provide children and young people with 5 fixed sessions a week where young people can meet up, socialise and participate in a variety of activities such as drumming, animation, zumba, craft classes, dance, drama and pottery. It also organises extra project dates as well as holiday activity and event programmes, sometimes in partnership with other groups offering a number of project based activities such as film making, cooking and music master classes.
