Aberdeen Hindu Temple Trust

Charity registered in Scotland SC044908

The Aberdeen Hindu Temple Trust (AHTT) is committed to nurturing a sacred, integrated and sustainable Hindu Temple that fosters spiritual growth, supports the community and promotes our faith for future generations. With this mission at its heart, AHTT offers a welcoming environment where people of all backgrounds can join in worship, participate in cultural and spiritual programmes, and come together as a caring community. The Trust conducts daily aarti, regular chanting sessions, and a full calendar of festivals and special poojas — all open to everyone.

Beyond the ritual and devotional side, AHTT plays an important role in community-life across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. The Temple hosts educational events, supports families through samskaras (life-cycle rituals) such as naming and Annaprashana, offers hall hire for community events, and encourages volunteer involvement in aspects like preparing prashad, supporting festival logistics, and maintaining the temple premises. As a registered charity (SC044908) they rely on the goodwill of volunteers and donors alike.
