Volunteer required as Treasurer with financial skills to carry out the day to day computer based work involving income and expenditure of the house then reporting accounts to the Executive Committee on a monthly basis at meetings.
Controlling income from rents and paying suppliers, approximately 12 - 15 monthly accounts, payed by cheque or bank transfer. Setting budgets, Supervising Staff wages which are currently processed by an outside company but net wages figures returned to us to be paid by bank transfer. Yearly accounts for auditors as well as Charity Commission (OSCR).
Time required to carry out work would be approximately 2 hours per week with extra time at the end of the month producing the figures for the monthly meetings.
Experience required
A financial background in Accountancy.

Training details
The volunteer would have to be experienced in Accounting so training would not really by required - just an Induction into what Abbeyfield is and what would be required of them.
Taster
Attend a monthly meeting to find out all about Abbeyfield and discuss the position with the current Treasurer who can give them an idea of exactly what the work entails.

Frequency & commitment
Approximately 2-3 hours weekly controlling day to day accounting and extra each month to produce monthly accounts.
