Go Forth & Clyde

Get on board our board!
Go Forth and Clyde is a charitable organisation based at Lock 16 on the Forth and Clyde Canal in Camelon, Falkirk. We aim to use the canals as a resource to support local community development and to encourage the wider public to learn, develop and to use them in ways that support physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
We provide a wide range of opportunities for our volunteers, plus other visitors, families and the local community, both on and off the water, including lock keeping, boat training and operation, a cycle repair workshop and led ride project, and wood workshop.
If you have a passion for the outdoors, especially the local canal network, and even without that, if you want to use your skills to help support local people, then Go Forth and Clyde could be the opportunity you’re looking for.
As we look to grow, the organisation to do more and to have a strong foundation for future sustainability, we’re looking to expand our board of trustees. Interest is welcome from anyone who thinks they have something to offer but we are especially looking for people with HR, wellbeing or environmental expertise.
Experience required
HR, wellbeing or environmental experience would be an advantage but welcome anyone with an interest in what we do or with lived experience who is now at a point in their life that they want to support others.
