Gardening Volunteers

Supported by our Volunteer Coordinator you will work with a team of volunteers headed up by a lead volunteer. You will be involved in planning and taking part in activities dependant on the season. This will include weeding, planting, pruning, watering, feeding and general maintenance in the various areas around the village and in The Steading including our Sensory Garden and vegetable patch.

Experience required

Gardening experience helpful but not essential. Reliable, helpful and Ability to work as part of a team

Travel details

We are accessible by Lothian Bus route 31

Travel expenses

Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed. Bus tickets must be provided.

Training details

We will provide a full induction to our building and grounds.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 16

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
