Event Assistant

Action Porty are looking for event volunteers who can help with one or a number of different community events. Previous events have included Porty's Christmas Lights 'Switch On', a street festival celebrating bikes, Porty Flea fleamarket and concerts. This role varies depending on which community events are planned. Events may be indoors or outdoors.

Experience required

Minimum requirements: ability to follow instructions and communicate with organisers and other volunteers.
Desirable skills: working as part of a team; ability to take initiative when needed; adaptable to different tasks; speaking clearly to issue instructions to members of the public.

Bellfield is a vibrant community space in the heart of Portobello. Formerly Portobello Old Parish Church, Bellfield offers hire space for every occasion and a programme of regular classes and events. Since opening in June 2018 following a community buy-out, our halls have become a hub for Portobello's lively community, providing a local venue for people to come together to meet ,play and celebrate. Buses: Bellfield is 0.1 mile from nearest bus stop for buses 26,45,19 and 0.4 mile from Portobello Town Hall bus stop for buses 21,49,12.
