The Retail Assistant is the friendly face of the Mamacita Foundation Charity Shop. As part of a team of volunteers, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and supportive shopping experience for customers while helping to generate funds for our charitable activities.

Your Tasks Will Include:
Greeting and assisting customers with their shopping experience.
Handling cash and processing transactions at the till.
Sorting and replenishing stock to keep the shop well-organized.
Visual merchandising – keeping displays attractive and engaging.

Experience required

While no formal qualifications are required, the ideal volunteer should have the following skills and attributes:

Customer Service Skills – Friendly and approachable attitude to assist customers with their shopping experience.
Good Communication – Ability to engage with customers, fellow volunteers.
Confidence in handling cash and processing transactions at the till.
Ability to sort and arrange stock neatly and keep the shop well-presented.
Willingness to work alongside others in a collaborative environment.
Ensuring that stock is displayed attractively and correctly priced.
Ability to commit to a regular shift and be punctual.
