Think Circus

Helping teachers to establish a secure and motivating atmosphere for our students to flourish. Recognizing the accomplishments of young individuals and motivating them to explore new opportunities. Reporting any instances of abuse, inappropriate behaviour, or potential risks if observed. Contributing to the cleanliness and organisation of the classroom.
Experience required
Essential: Friendly and kind to people of all ages and abilities. Work well in a team and find joy in collaboration. Reliable and punctual.
Willing to complete a PVG check.
Desirable: Enjoying the circus.
Previous experience working with youth.
Having a sense of fun.
Travel details
Cloud 9 (part of the Wee Hub), Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre, Ocean Drive, Leith, Edinburgh, EH6 6JJ.
Multiple bus lines and a tram route provide convenient transportation to the shopping centre, where you can enjoy free parking. The bus services includes Numbers 11, 34, 35, 36, and 200.

Training details
Each volunteer will receive an induction covering general information about Think Circus, health and safety requirements, role-specific descriptions, and the process for providing feedback or lodging complaints regarding their volunteering experience.
Training will be differed based on different roles and volunteers’ experience. For most volunteers, Safeguarding training, Circus Skill training, and Client Liaison training will be provided. We prefer to have long-term volunteering relationships and are able to offer additional opportunities such as masterclasses, SQA-approved training courses, and events for volunteers who have been with us for over one year.
