Driver

We are looking for some new, enthusiastic volunteers who are keen to provide transport for our members to attend our Social Café. Our Social Cafes are open to those over the age of 65 and want to get out to socialise and be a part of the community.

You would be mainly helping with taking members to the café and back to their homes. However, you could also help in:


  • making teas and coffees for the members.

  • doing activities or assisting members with the activities.

  • socialise with our members.

  • setting up and clearing away.


In return, you will be supported with appropriate training and regular supervision sessions with the named contact, invites to volunteer events and expense reimbursements.


Experience required

No experience required, but a full, clean driving licence is essential. All training for the role will be provided. Enthusiasm and keenness to get involved would be preferred.

Larick Centre, Tayport

Travel expenses

Pay mileage (60p per mile) and Passenger miles (5p per passenger, per mile).

Support
Training details

mandatory induction training before starting, followed by ongoing regular support and training as required, e.g. dementia, health and safety etc

Taster

potential volunteers can come to café to see how it operates, meet the volunteers and members.
