Shop Volunteer - Save the Children Marchmont

Our Marchmont Save the Children Shop has been a much loved part of the local community for years and continues to be hugely popular with customers and supporters, thanks to the kindness and generosity of the volunteer team.

All you need is some enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference. The role is diverse, taking place on the shop floor and behind the scenes. Volunteer activities include customer service, creative merchandising, preparing items for sale and working as part of a team.

Experience required

No previous experience is required as all training will be provided on an ongoing basis.

Activities include customer service, cash handling, creative merchandising, preparing items for sale and working as part of a large and diverse volunteer team.

Travel expenses

Travel expenses can be reimbursed on acceptance of receipt - either on the day or weekly/monthly, whatever suits the volunteer best.

We provide initial induction training and then operate a buddy system where volunteers receive ongoing training - dependant on their interests and skillsets.
