We’re excited to be opening our first ever charity shop and need your help! You’ll help to ensure everything runs smoothly and that every customer is welcomed and has a positive experience visiting us.

Your key duties will be:

• providing excellent customer service.


• processing cash and credit card sales and donations.


• ensuring the shop is clean, tidy, well organised and fully stocked


• displaying stock to look its best


• providing visitors with information on GCHC fundraising and events.

Experience required

Excellent communication skills, friendly and approachable. - Enjoy working with the public - Confidence in cash handling. - Excellent customer care skills. - Proactive and helpful approach to visitors

Travel details

Buchanan Galleries, 220 Buchanan St, Glasgow G1 2FF We encourage public transport – the shop is only a short walk from Queen Street Station, Buchanan Street Underground, Buchanan Street Bus Station and a ten minute walk from Glasgow Central Station.

Travel expenses

Expenses paid monthly, we’ll reimburse volunteers for the most cost effective form of transport from their home to the volunteer opportunity. Mileage is paid at 25p to the mile.
