Companion-Supporter-Befriender

Fife Centre for Equalities (FCE) has charitable aims of raising awareness and understanding of equality and diversity across all communities and community groups in Fife.
An exciting opportunity is available for volunteers from all walks of life to come together and meet with some of the older members of our community. we are currently focusing on finding volunteers to befriend members of our Fife Inclusion Network Project, a project in which we are helping older people from diverse communities to build meaningful connections, reduce social isolation and improve mental and emotional health. This is being achieved by monthly get togethers where project members and volunteers meet, chat, eat and participate in various activities and workshops. So, if you’re interested in learning more about other cultures, disabilities etc. we would love to have you join us on this amazing volunteering project.

However, with some locations being a litter further afield, volunteers would not be expected to attend every event, they can attend the ones closer to them.
Volunteers would be expected to make their own way to the events close to their home.
