This is a wonderful opportunity to work with and befriend adults with additional support needs. The PHAB club is a registered charity and offers a range of activities in a social setting. Volunteers offer friendship and help facilitate members to engage with the club activities and to help them to use the clubs tablets for gaming, educational and recreational purposes.

A good understanding of working a tablet

Local buses. Lasswade High School has a large car park.

Support

Training details

The volunteer would work alongside experienced volunteers for as long as they wished and would never be asked to support anybody or do anything they did not feel ready to do. A PVG will be organised by the PHAB club.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 16
Some members may have mildly challenging behaviour and our committee feel volunteers under the age of 16 may be not be able to cope with these potential challenges.

Frequency & commitment

6.30-8.30pm for at least 6 weeks. School term time only.

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
