Volunteer Site Guides - Cottage Guides

The award winning Robert Burns Birthplace Museum is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join its guiding team. Set among 10 acres of the poet's cherished Alloway countryside; the site comprises the famous Burns Cottage where the poet was born, the historic landmarks where he set his greatest work, the elegant monument and gardens created in his honour and a modern museum housing the world's most historic collection of his life and works.
Volunteers in this role will be guiding in Burns cottage and its environs.
This is a costumed role and volunteers will assume the persona of one of four historic characters associated with the cottage. (This can be delivered in 1st or 3rd person)

Main duties: Escorting groups of visitors around the Cottage
Providing spoken interpretation for a predetermined set of items.
