Safe Space
- VO97733
Help make a difference to the lives of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse by joining the Board at Safe Space, a specialist trauma agency based in Dunfermline providing one to one counselling and a range of therapeutic groups. Safe Space has supported individuals, parents, and relatives for over 25 years, and they are now looking to grow their board with people who can work with them to develop our ongoing values, goals, and objectives to ensure that they continue to provide a healing and supportive journey for survivors.
Safe Space are looking for committed individuals who can share their relevant skills and experience to help support the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity alongside the Chair and other established board members. They would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants with experience in counselling and therapy work, work with vulnerable people, and/or knowledge of the Scottish voluntary sector.
Experience required
Each board member is appointed based on their experience, contacts and interests, and applications are welcome from anyone with relevant skills and experience to share with the charity. As the Directors wish to expand the range of skills on the board, they would be particularly interested to hear from applicants with experience in counselling and therapy work, those working with vulnerable people, and/or with knowledge of the Scottish voluntary sector.
