Admin/Accounts Assistant Volunteers for OIBI – a registered charity in partnership with Bergen Associates

The OIBI (Oxford Institute of British Islam), Scottish Office, Aberdeen have exciting volunteer opportunities for people to assist with the following


  1. Admin assistance.

  2. Accounts Assistance.

  3. PR/Publishing Assistance.


Duties include helping with aspects such as general admin and office duties. Data Entry Training on software systems. Accounts payable/receivable. Telephone answering. This also includes any other duties appropriate to your skills and experience which may be identified. To provide administrative support to the Director and office.


Training and support is provided.


This is a great opportunity to help and develop key skills and experience at the same time. All assistance is greatly appreciated.

Experience required

A positive approach is desirable for this opportunity as new skills can be learned.
Good spoken and written English. Good computer skills (especially with Excel and MS word).
An interest in current affairs and social media an advantage. Organising and planning skills will be useful.

Address: First Floor, 68 Carden Place, Aberdeen, AB10 1UL (Shared office with Bergen)
Regular bus service to and from the city. Limited street parking if travelling by car.

Travel expenses

We pay public transport rates and reimburse volunteers every week. This actual amount will be confirmed beforehand.

Support
Training details

Excellent support and training provided to volunteers. We provide on going training and support relevant to the volunteering carried out.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 18

Frequency & commitment
The times are flexible Monday - Friday 9am- 6pm. Actual hours to be decided with applicant.

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
