We need enthusiastic local people with a range of skills and experience to join our management board. As part of this team you will be responsible for the strategic management of the bureau.
As a member of the Board you will be expected to:
Attend Board Meetings (approximately 6 each year, normally early weekday evenings at the Bureau offices in Galashiels) and occasional development sessions with the Bureau team (1-2 each year)
• Take an active part in the discussions at the meetings
• Support our Bureau team of volunteers and staff
• Help set the Bureau’s strategy, policies, and project plans
Experience required
• Live locally and be aware of local issues
• Committed to the aims and principles of the Bureau
• Able to think creatively and exercise good, independent judgement
• Able to work effectively as a member of a team
• Able to understand and accept the responsibility of being a trustee and employer
•Willing to be an Ambassador for the bureau and the wider Borders CAB Consortium
•Currently we are looking to recruit someone with a financial background willing to take over the role of Treasurer
Travel details
CAB Office in Galashiels but meetings may continue to be held virtually due to Covid 19 restrictions.
