Blether Buddie

Blether Buddies make weekly friendship telephone calls to lonely and isolated adults in Dundee to help them feel more connected and valued.

• Do you like meeting/speaking to new people?
• Can you spare an hour or two at any point in the week?
• Do you have access to a phone?
• Do you have internet access?
• Do you like to have a chat?

We are looking for volunteers to make Blether Buddie calls, which can last from 20 to 45 minutes followed by completing quick online monitoring form.

The opportunity is flexible and after the initial match you will arrange calls between yourself and your Buddie.
This lets you change times and days to suit you both.

Full training is given and staff will be on hand to support during office hours. Procedures are in place for out of hours.

Good communication skills and basic computer skills would be good but full training is given.
