The Pantry is essentially a small shop with a membership. The team will be responsible for the safe operation of the Pantry including : cash handling, stock rotation, shelf packing, serving customers and signing up new members. Some of the work is IT based (laptop) to record members weekly shop visit as well as signing up new memberships.
Other tasks are manual. It would be helpful if you were confident handling weekly subscriptions which can be paid either by cash or our card payer. The pantry will initially operate two days a week as a pilot and if successful extend on a planned basis with the whole team suitably advised.

Travel details
The opportunity is based in the Ardrossan Church of the Nazarene.
Travel expenses
PPE equipment will be provided ( chefs uniforms). Travel expenses are available for public transport and petrol costs.
Support
Training details
Food hygiene will be a standard training course. In discussion training will be provided when identified.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
