Walk Leader

Want to be involved in your local community getting people active? We are looking for people to lead health walks as part of the Walk Aberdeen programme. Full training is provided in the form of a one day fully recognised walk leader training course. On completion of this the volunteer will have the opportunity to support or lead walking groups in your local community, encouraging others to get active and enjoy some social exercise.

This position is a great opportunity to be active in your local area. Full support is available to assist you taking on this role and gradually build the confidence to be a walk leader.

Training details

Good support and training is provided to all volunteers. Includes one day fully recognised (by the British Heart Foundation/Paths for All) walk leader training course. Full ongoing support is also available through the Development Officer.

Minimum age: 18

Frequency & commitment
Flexible to suit volunteer.

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
