Database Co-ordinator

Tayside Re-users uses databases to record and manage the sales of goods and stock movements from collection to sale as well as calculating the savings in weight and CO2 of items which would otherwise be thrown into landfill. This role will involve transferring information from accompanying documentation to the database and then filing the documentation. This role will give you the skills and experience you need to work in many organisations.

Experience required

Ability to create Spreadsheets and Databases essential.

Travel details

Tayside Re-Users, Unit 1 South Dudhope Mill, 75 Douglas Street, Dundee. North of Verdant Works and buses 7, 17, 28, 29, 51, 57 & 59 - stop just up the road on Lochee Road near Smellies Lane.

Travel expenses

Daily/weekly travel expenses will be reimbursed. Lunch - £4 per day.

Support
Training details

Volunteers will be introduced to the team and shown their area of work. Initial training for the role will be given and any further training will be carried out if required.

Taster

Volunteers are welcome to come along and see the Centre and speak to us about volunteering.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 16
Opening hours would restrict under 16's but they could possibly get involved at weekends.

Frequency & commitment
Availability 10 - 15 hours per week. Hours are flexible to suit volunteer.

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
