Volunteer Mentor

We all need that person who believes in us!
Ysort-It is a Youth Organisation that covers all of West Dunbartonshire. Volunteer Mentors are required for its Intandem Programme.
Intandem is Scotland’s National Mentoring Programme and is funded by Inspiring Scotland and the Robertson’s Trust. Intandem supports care experienced children and young people aged between 8 and 14 at point of referral. Namely, Intandem supports children that live under a Compulsory Supervision Order (CS0) or are living in Kinship Care.
For children and young people to thrive and have a bright future, they need one constant adult. Someone who truly inspires and believes in them. Without the support of a Volunteer Mentor, tragically some of the children in our programme would not have a supportive adult like this in their lives.
You can truly make a life changing difference! And the reason we know this, is because our young people tell us.
You -
· Volunteer Mentors must be aged 18 and over. We have mentors from all ages! Every age group has something to offer.
· You must be able to commit to spending one hour a week with the person the support.
· You must care about young people and want them to have positive outcomes.
· Believe like us there should be no barriers to what young people in Scotland can achieve.
What we can provide you with -
· Comprehensive training and support provided by our dedicated Mentor Support Worker.
· Travel expenses.
