Cafe Assistant

Dundonald Castle is a 14th Century hilltop fortified ruin which is looked after on a daily basis by The Friends of Dundonald Castle SCIO, who also manage the attraction’s Visitor Centre.
We are currently looking for volunteers for our cafe. Full day and half day shifts are available and tasks will include:

• Greeting/welcoming customers


• Helping with serving customers


• Keeping the visitor centre clean and tidy


• Daily set up and clean up


• Preparing food and drinks


• Restocking and compiling shopping lists


• Assisting regular groups in the cafe including Knit n Natter, Scrabble, History Group and Walking Group

Experience required

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in hospitality as no previous experience is required. It would be beneficial if you have a passion for customer service.

Travel expenses

Travel expenses will be paid. Tea and coffee are also available to volunteers as well as lunch if you are working a full shift.
