Winter Warriors - Stockethill /Cornhill

We are looking for Winter Warriors to help grit our local pavements and keep Stockethill, Cornhill, and the surrounding areas safe for residents of all ages and physical abilities.

As a Winter Warrior, you will be a part of a team of local residents. Warriors work in pairs to grit pavements and keep the pavements safe to use. The team receives advance warning of bad weather and our Coordinator is responsible for managing the Warriors to ensure best use of resources.
You will receive training and all equipment is provided.

A fantastic opportunity to help make a real difference for people and the community during winter. All volunteer help is greatly appreciated.

For more information please contact Bea Dawkins, Chairperson at email: beadawkins93@gmail.com

Travel details

Our community council boundary spans Stockethill, Rosehill, Cornhill, Ashgrove, and Kittybrewster. We are keen to recruit volunteers for all areas, however, data from the NHS suggests that Stockethill and its nearby areas are "hot spots" for falls during icy conditions. Because of this, we are particularly keen to welcome volunteers from in and around the Stockethill area
