Defibrillator Volunteer

Could you be an advocate for Public Access Defibrillators in your local area?

Whether you already know a lot about these life-saving devices, or you’re keen to learn, you could make a big difference by becoming a St John Scotland defibrillator volunteer.

Main tasks include:

  • responding to community groups

  • approving applications

  • assure that location is suitable – using DefibFinderUK, Google Maps and Street View

  • share knowledge of the equipment, application process and key cardiac arrest statistics

  • identify existing defibrillators in the Area and offer support to the Guardian to make them accessible 24/7
promote The Circuit so defibrillators are appropriately registered, have regular checks, and are therefore available for use

If you’re good at making connections, working with diverse communities and could influence and encourage more communities to provide Public Access Defibrillators, they’d like to hear from you.
