Committee Member

HDCC (Halbeath and Duloch Community Council) is looking for local residents in the Halbeath and Duloch parts of
Dunfermline, from all backgrounds, to get involved with the Community Council and make a difference to their local
area. Community Councils are comprised of people who care about their community and want to make it a better
place to live.
They are keen to attract new members who would be willing to attend their monthly meetings (on the first Monday
evening of each month) and enable them to be more active in the community.
They are specifically looking for a new Treasurer to manage their finances. Someone with a financial background (or
aspiring to a career in finance) would be ideal but no particular experience is required, and training can be provided.

Experience required

There is no specific requirement for committee members, other than being enthusiastic about their local area. For
the Treasurer position, they are looking for someone reliable who either has some experience of managing the
accounts of a voluntary organisation or is willing to learn.

Travel details

Members of a Community Council must reside within the local area. Monthly meetings are currently held at the
Halbeath Nursery and Community Space, Guttergates Road, Dunfermline.

Travel expenses

Travel expenses can be discussed on an individual basis.
