St Magnus Way

The St Magnus Way are looking for volunteer Path Keepers to walk sections of the St Magnus Way to check the condition of the path and report any problems to the Volunteer Coordinator.
Key activities include:
• Checking the general condition of the path in a particular section of the Way.
• Checking way marker poles and way markers (missing or fallen).
• Checking in grassy areas if strimming is required.
• Reporting major littering.
• Taking home minor litter.
• Informing the Coordinator when a section has been checked.
What could a volunteer gain from the experience?
• Providing a service to the local community and visitors.
• Being part of a St Magnus Way community of walkers.
• Exercise and fresh air.
Experience required
Reasonable fitness.
No previous experience required.

Training details
Volunteers will receive:
• An introduction to St Magnus Way and our Volunteer and other related policies.
• Description of the duties and necessary training.
• Invitation to our meetings.
• Advice from the Coordinator as necessary.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Adults only due to insurance requirements.
