Volunteer - Parent and Toddler Assistant

The Parent and Toddler Volunteer Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of parent and toddler groups. These groups aim to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children and their parents or guardians. The assistant helps facilitate a range of play-based learning activities and ensures a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.

Support Activity Planning and Execution: Assist in planning and setting up engaging activities for toddlers, including crafts, songs, storytime, and free play. Ensure activities are suitable for the age group and contribute to their developmental milestones.

Our parent and toddler group takes place on Fridays at 11:30am.

Engage with Children and Parents: Actively engage with children and parents, promoting positive interactions and providing support as needed. Be attentive to the needs of both children and parents, offering assistance and encouragement to foster a supportive community atmosphere.

Safety and Hygiene: Monitor the play area to ensure a safe environment for all children. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the group setting, including tidying up after activities and ensuring toys and equipment are clean and in good repair.

Feedback and Communication: Provide feedback to the group leader on the sessions, including any concerns or suggestions for improvement. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, offering information about upcoming sessions or events and answering any queries they may have.
