We are looking for dedicated and friendly volunteers to help welcome and assist service users at Mamacita Foundation events and services. Volunteers will provide support and information to immigrants and newcomers to Aberdeen, helping them settle and integrate into the community.
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome service users at events and service locations.
Provide information and guidance on available services and resources.
Assist immigrants with settlement information, including housing, healthcare, and local amenities.
Support service users in completing necessary forms and applications.
Facilitate connections between service users and relevant support agencies.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of local resources and services.
Experience required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, approachable, and patient demeanor.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of local services and resources in Aberdeen.
Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality.
Previous experience in customer service or social services is an advantage.
