Mamacita Foundation is looking for dedicated volunteers who are fluent in foreign languages and English to assist our non-English speaking service users. Volunteers will provide translation services and tutoring to help individuals improve their English language skills and better integrate into the community.
Responsibilities:
Provide translation services for service users who do not speak English.
Assist with tutoring sessions to help individuals improve their English language skills.
Support service users in understanding important documents and communications.
Help facilitate communication between service users and staff or other volunteers.
Prepare and provide language learning materials and resources.
Encourage and motivate service users to practice and improve their English.
Experience required
Fluency in English and at least one other language.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience and a supportive attitude towards language learners.
Reliable and punctual with a commitment to scheduled tutoring and translation sessions.
Previous experience in translation or language tutoring is a plus.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different learners.
